Sports Therapy and Sports Massage Therapy

Sports Therapy can be appropriate for both people who participate in sport and people who do not. It is a form a form of Musculoskeletal therapy that looks at both treatment and rehabilitation of soft tissue injury.

Sports massage can be useful for maintenance, injury prevention, pain relief and also treatment of soft tissue injury. Massage techniques and pressure can be adapted to the needs of the patient, for example if they suffer from conditions such as fibromyalgia, or underactive thyroid where they may take longer to recover from the effects of massage, then adaptations to treatments can be made for the best possible therapeutic outcomes.
